On June 26, 2005, at 12:58 a.m, our lives changed in a heartbeat with straight line winds in excess of 150
MPH. We were home at the time and unknowingly, know that our beautiful yard was destroyed. We had a 150 cords
of Cottonwood and 190 cords of miscellaneous trees that were uprooted. Our house sustained major damage.
We are thankful to God that neither of us were hurt and only one foal sustained minor injury. Luckily all
of them were in the barn and it could have been the death of them if they were outside with flying debries.
It took a loader 3 1/2 hours to go 1/4 mile down the road to get to us and another hour down our driveway. We
are thankful for the outpouring of help that we received the first two weeks of cleanup. Our horses were kept by some
dear friends of ours since we had no pasture and fencing. Track hoes came and removed the 26 foot roots from our yard.
Bobcats and 4-wheelers were abounding, trucks and chainsaws were a daily sound. A lot was accomplished in that short
time, and even now over a year later we are still cleaning up, it will never be the same.
So if you are looking at our website and wondering why they haven't shown or bred much this is why.
Something had to give and it was the horses.
As of 11/8/06, the exterior repairs of our house is complete. The interior is too complete, except
for the mess of tossing something into this room and that room to get to that window to be replaced. That will take
time.
This page is dedicated to be a BIG THANK YOU to all that helped maked our house a home again. If not
for them, we would be no where near done yet. And also to thank God for all that he's done for us.
